Hailing from the suburbs of Boston, Garrett is a Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist, music director, and producer. He began his musical journey studying classical piano at a young age, eventually teaching himself bass, guitar, and drums as a teenager. Drawing from his love of neo-soul and jazz, he formed bands with friends and dove deeper into music-making.

In 2017, Garrett moved to New York to attend NYU’s Clive Davis Institute, where he earned a BFA in Recorded Music (‘21). After graduating, he joined Brooklyn music house We Are Walker as an Audio Engineer and Music Editor, working on music and sound design for brands like Apple, Nike, Meta, and more. His contributions helped the company win “Music and Sound House of the Year” at the 2024 Ad Age Awards.

Beyond the studio, Garrett has served as a music director and instrumentalist for a wide range of indie artists, performing at festivals and on tours around the world. He’s had the opportunity to open for artists including Faye Webster, Beach Fossils, Wallows, Miguel, and Slow Pulp.

Garrett is excited to join the JTN team as the first Studio Assistant in NYC, supporting editors across both coasts.
